What you need to know

Systems
Windows · Linux · macOS
Minimum requirements
GPU with OpenGL 3.0 or OpenGL ES 3.0 or newer. Documented PC targets: Windows 7+ (i686 or x86_64), Linux (i686 or x86_64), macOS 10.9+ on Intel x86_64, and macOS 11.0+ on ARM64. Follow the port-branch dependency instructions, including SDL2 setup on macOS. No minimum RAM or CPU clock figure is documented.
Controls
Keyboard and mouse with mouse look, or dual-analog controller bindings. Controls can be rebound in pd.ini. The mouse controls player 1 only. Local split-screen multiplayer is supported.
Resolution and video
Widescreen, configurable field of view and 60 FPS support. Experimental Uncap Tickrate in Extended Video Options allows up to 240 FPS, but the project warns of issues above roughly 165 FPS. Use VSync or Video.FramerateLimit to cap the rate.
Mods
Basic mod support can load some custom levels. Compatibility is limited and project-specific; consult the official wiki. Network play uses the separate port-net branch, not the builds selected here.
Files
Recommended: US 1.1 / US Rev 1 / ntsc-final. US 1.0 / ntsc-1.0 is supported but not recommended
